James Simmons, Jr. also known as “Junior”of McClellanville, SC - The family of Mr. James Simmons, Jr. announces his passing on Sunday, June 19, 2022.

You have been invited to his celebration of life service which will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 11:00AM at Tibwin AME Church 9942 Hwy 17 N. McClellanville, SC.  Interment: Church Cemetery

Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Bertha Simmons, his daughter Cynthia Simmons, his parents Nancy and James Simmons, brother George Simmons, and his sisters Viola Davis and Vernice Jenkins.

He is survived by Two children; sons, James O. Simmons and Demetrius O. Simmons; daughter-in-law, Gidget Y. Simmons; four grandchildren, Shelton Simmons, James D. Simmons, IV, Donovan X. Simmons and Caitlin I. Simmons; one great grandchild, Jacob Simmons; sister Nancy LaGrae of New York, brother Carl Simmons of McClellanville, SC; nieces Dr. Tenora J. Simonez and Joyce Mullen and their daughters Amber Jenkins, Gabrielle Mullen and Aaliyah Peay, and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Simmons was 93 years old.

Viewing for Mr. Simmons will be on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 5:00PM -7:00PM at Dickerson Mortuary, LLC.
