Mrs. Reid-Sumpter is the widow of Mr. Lonnie R. Sumpter; the mother of Mrs. Beverly Jackson (Brian), Mr. Curtis Reid, Mr. Alfred Reid (Debra), Mr. Melvin Reid, Mrs. Cassandra Castle (Louis) and Mrs. Sharon Dayse; the grandmother of Ms. Brittany Jackson; the sister of 4 siblings, and the grandmother of a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Reid-Sumpter was 77 years old. The family will be receiving friends at 138 Fishburne Street Charleston, SC 29403.

Mrs. Reid-Sumpter is survived by her children, Mrs. Beverly Jackson (Brian), Mr. Curtis Reid, Mr. Alfred Reid (Debra), Mr. Melvin Reid, Mrs. Cassandra Castle (Louis), and Mrs. Sharon Dayse; her granddaughter, Ms. Brittany Jackson; her 4 siblings; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Viewing for Mrs. Reid-Sumpter will be on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Mt. Carmel UM Church. The family will be receiving friends from 7:00PM-8:00PM.
