With profound grief, the family of Mary Ann Middleton Mayers announce her passing.

Mary Ann Middleton Mayers, 83, of Locust Grove, Georgia; formerly of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Saturday, May 13, 2023. 

The family will receive condolences at the home of Mary’s sister, Dr. Saundra Middleton, 5120 Maybank Highway, Wadmalaw Island, S.C. 29487, beginning Saturday, May 20, 2023. 

Mrs. Mayers will not have a wake but will lie in splendid repose at the funeral home on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. 

On the day of service, Mrs. Mayers will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service; and will then be interred in the church cemetery.  

Services will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Bethel A.M.E. Church, located at 5305 Maybank Highway, Wadmalaw Island, SC 29487. Reverend William R.
