Mr. Higgs was preceeded in death by his  parent Ms. Marguerite Middleton and Mr. Joe Chavis. He is survived by her children Ms. Monica Battles, Mr. Micheal Brandon ,and Mr. Sean Battles, siblings ; Mr. Donald Higgs Edings , Mr. Henry Middleton (Theresa) and Ms. Yvonne Rogers; grandchildren ,nieces, nephew ,other relatives and friends.

Viewing for Mr. Higgs will be on MONDAY  June 26,2017 at  St. James Bethel A.M.E Church  10AM until time of service..
