Sarah Robinson

Sarah Mae Ladson Robinson, 71, of Charleston, passed away on December 31, 2025. Daughter of the late Isaac and Corrie Ladson. She is survived by her son Carey Ladson(Melanie) and her grandchildren Grace, Alyse and Victoria of Kingston, MA; her grandson Tarico Robinson of Charleston, SC. Sarah was raised in downtown Charleston, graduated from Burke High School and was a lifelong member of Ebenezer AME Church. She loved her church, hearing the word of God spoken by the pastor and the gospel choir signing. She married Leroy Robinson on June 3, 1989. Sarah worked on the USS Yorktown for many years. She was a loving woman with a beautiful soul. Her family and friends were blessed with her laughter, stories, home cooking and kind heart. Her greatest joy in life was her circle. Always talking on the phone, she loved a celebration and a chance to spend time with the ones she loved most. Birthdays, weddings, holidays, reunions or family gatherings Sarah was there; she was truly the life of the party. From a young age she loved to sew, she always had a passion for fashion. Sarah enjoyed listening to music and dancing, there wasn't a boat ride down the cooper river without Sarah laughing and dancing. She enjoyed traveling, cruises in her younger years and for many years to Massachusetts to spend time with her son, grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband, Leroy Robinson, sister Lucille Smalls, brothers Johnny Ladson and Frank Ladson. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, sister Bernice Simmons of North Carolina; Brother Jimmie Ladson (Marie) of Charleston; sister-in-law Carol H Ladson of North Charleston along with dear nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

The family of Ms. Sarah Robinson invite you to her celebration of life services that will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 11:00AM at Ebenezer AME Church 44 Nassau Street Charleston, SC. Interment: Nazareth AME Church - Georgetown, SC.

Viewing for Ms. Robinson will be on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Dickerson Mortuary, LLC.
